Absolute Value Equations 2
Hey guy's, on friday in Pre-Calculus 30S we worked on our Pre-Cal
culus 30S Unit 3 Algebra booklet.

We solved equations that have more than one absolute value expression. We had to solve for the absolute value of [x].

But we don't just solve one question we have to do one for ++, +-, -
+, --

So the first thing we do when solving an absolute value equation is to take the square brackets and put them as the normals brackets for example (this is for ++):

You take the brackets and turn the equati
on into this:

And then you solve on the right side and get rid of the brackets like this:

And then you bring the 2x to the left side and it be
comes negative, and then you solve like so:

And then you bring the +3 to the other side and then solve for x. :

After that you have to do another equation for +-, -+ and --.

After you do it for +-,-+ and -- you have to check if it is right or not my putting in the x value and solve.

We also get an assignment that is due on monday called Algebra Assignment 1.
Hope this helped everyone.
