Polynomial long division

To do polynomial long division, you must divide the variable in your divisor ( In this example X + 2 Is the divisor, ) by the first and largest variable in your dividend.

Step 1:

Dividing X Cubed by X gives us X Squared (remeber the exponent rules, X^3 / X = X^3-1 = X^2 )

Step2:

Now we have the first part of our answer, X Squared. To continue the question we must multiply the divisor by X squared, and subtract the new equation by the Next two largest variables in the dividend.

Step 3:
