Last class was basically a work period and if you used it well you got some bonus marks :)
I will do one of each types of question in the Trigonometry Review that Mr P gave us on friday
Graph each function using degrees
First we remove 3 inside the bracket so that we can have Ѳ by itself
Now we can make our first function on the graph
Look it as :
, so we can graph it like this
Next, add in the ones that move it and it moves like so (sorry couldn't fit it to the right anymore)
There it is :)
Find the value of the trig function indicated.
First find the missing side by using the Pythagorean Theorem
You should get 15 for the missing side.
From that use
With that information you have the answer.
* Remember that you do not need to divide it unless it is specified to. It is more accurate in fraction form *
Solve each equation for 0 < Ѳ <360
For this question we have to isolate sin Ѳ
It should look like this:
After that just divide and inverse sine the answer and you should get 60°. Then just apply this where sine is negative and you have your answer.
State the Quadrant in which the terminal side of each angle lies.
This is when i just think of the circle and think where it would go
0°- 90° is Quadrant 1
90°-180° is Quadrant 2
180° - 270° is Quadrant 3
270°-360° is Quadrant 4
so if it says 175is Quadrant it would be in Quadrant 2
Find the reference angle.
For Quadrant 4 we have to subtract 310° by 360° to get 50°
So that concludes my blog entry. Sorry if it's a little long and i hope it made sense.
