Hey guys I am Mehtab. I am here to tell you about Quadrants. There are four Quadrants. Angle between 0 to 90 lie in the first quadrants. Angle between 90 and 180 lie in the second quadrants. Angle between 180 and 270 lie in the third quadrants, and angle between 270 and 360 lie in the fourth quadrants. Reference angle is the acute angle formed in quadrant 1. In quadrant 1 reference angle is always the same. To find the reference angle in quadrant 2, you have to subtract the angle given to you from 180. To find Reference angle in quadrant 3, you have to add 180 to whatever the angle is given. To find reference angle in 4 quadrant, you have to subtract 360 from the angle given to you.
For example if we have a angle given of 98 degrees. And we have to sketch and find the reference angle.. How would you do it.?
First see at what quadrant does 98 comes in. It is between 90 to 180, so it is the second quadrant. We can sketch it now. In order to find the reference angle you have to subtract 98 degrees from 180 degrees. That is 82 degrees.
So, there you go.. You did it.
